Training Center Accreditation

SUP Yoga Trainer

Trainers are highly experienced and skilled in SUP Yoga practice, facilitating trainings, assessing levels of competence and able to provide SUP Yoga instructor certifications. SUP Yoga trainers can run SUP Yoga classes, workshops and instructor trainings being formally recognised for their level of experience. They work independently, can be contracted by training centers to deliver trainings or can set up their own SUP Yoga training center.

Requirements:
  • Yoga teacher certification minimum 200 hours
  • SUP Yoga instructor trainer certificate or extensive experience
  • Valid Water safety/rescue certificate
  • Valid first aid certificate/CPR
  • SUP Instructor certificate
  • SUP Yoga instructor level 2 certificate (which meets the ISYA curriculum standards)
  • Comply with ISYA safety and education standards
  • Experience or qualification in Training and Assessing
  • 500 hours SUP Yoga teaching experience (verified by SUP Yoga school, water sports
  • center or other)
  • To run a minimum 3 SUP Yoga instructor trainings a year to maintain SUP Yoga
    trainer status
  • Comprehensive insurance cover

SUP Yoga Instructor training centre

Can be a SUP Yoga school, water sport center or Yoga school which offers a range of SUP Yoga activities and in addition offers SUP Yoga instructor trainings. ISYA SUP Yoga Training centers are sought after for their high standards of SUP Yoga educational programs and instructor certifications. SUP Yoga training centers can operate with SUP Yoga assistants, level 1 and level 2 SUP Yoga instructors and in addition have SUP Yoga instructor trainers who facilitate the instructor training programs. These SUP Yoga training centers benchmark SUP Yoga instructor trainings through their high level of SUP Yoga safety, highly skilled and experienced instructor trainers and standardization of SUP Yoga educational programs.

Requirements:
  • Comply with ISYA education and safety standards
  • The center’s educational/training material meets the ISYA educational curriculum and safety standards
  • Use ISYA accredited SUP Yoga instructor trainers to deliver SUP Yoga trainings. (See SUP Yoga trainer criteria for details)
  • Demonstrate comprehensive SUP Yoga activity location analysis and risk assessment
  • Have own standard operating procedures in place
  • Comply with relevant local laws and regulations
  • Hold relevant permits to operate in permitted locations
  • To facilitate a minimum of 4 SUP Yoga instructor trainings a year to maintain SUP Yoga training center status
