Confidentiality policy

Your personal information collected by the ISYA is protected by the Privacy Act 1988. ISYA stores your personal information on a secure database which are strictly confidential. Members have access to all their personal details on their Profile page.

  • Your personal information is not used for commercial purposes and is not distributed to any other organisation for any purpose.
  • You will be able to access your ISYA online membership profile at any time by logging into your account, unless there is a system outage. If it is a planned system outage we will inform you of the time and date of restricted access to your ISYA account.
  • To join the ISYA and become a registered SUP Yoga Instructor, SUP Yoga School or SUP Yoga Training Centre, you must read, understand and accept the Terms and Conditions.
  • ISYA Code of Ethics and Code of Practice are legal documents, which must be read, understood and agreed with, in order for you to become a member of the ISYA.

We will share your information with our ISYA customer support, to process transactions and send you notices about transactions.

ISYA will automatically send you notices of renewal by email. We may use your information to contact you directly by phone, email, SMS. We will inform you by email of service updates, promotional offers and other targeted marketing offers.

Dispute process

The ISYA will acknowledge receipt of all complaints within five business days. The Standards committee will convene to discuss the dispute and to decide on an outcome. Should you not be satisfied with the outcome of the dispute, you can access an ombudsman for further dispute consideration.

ISYA will endeavour to resolve all complaints and disputes within 45 days. Please note this may not be possible in all circumstances due to individual complex issues.

If we are unable to resolve a complaint or dispute within 45 days we will inform you of the reason for this delay and outline our progress with the issue.

ISYA reserves the right to suspend or revoke a SUP Yoga Instructor or Accredited SUP Yoga school/Training Centre’s accreditation or any trainings/workshops undertaken by SUP Yoga Teachers or Schools who have violated any of the ISYA polices and standards. This suspension may be time limited or permanent. The ISYA will clearly outline the reasons for its decision to the SUP Yoga Instructor or SUP Yoga school/Training Centre.

False or fraudulent information provided to the ISYA will not be authorised and will result in the member being banned from ISYA. This information can either be personal details, false information about SUP Yoga educational curriculums or teachings and any other information that conflicts with the ISYA policies and standards

Banned members cannot re-register with the ISYA.
